Today I walked in and it was so crowded. There were a total of 70 volunteers with around 20 campers, so there were groups of three and four volunteers per camper. I had S* today who is an older, nonverbal girl, with a visual and mental impairment. It was different working with S then it was with J because there was no verbal communication like I was used to with every other person in my life. But I really enjoyed my day with S. She is 26, and she loves boys so she spent a large part of our day walking over to all of the male volunteers and staff members. It was so funny and I really enjoyed working with her.
